Job description

Job Title: KS3 SEMH Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, South Ockendon

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored academic support to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Develop and implement individualised intervention plans to address specific learning challenges
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' academic progress and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure holistic support for students
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions undertaken

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of the UK Key Stage 3 curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEMH interventions and strategies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Capability to build positive relationships with students and support their emotional well-being

Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
