Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Harlow

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths GCSE intervention sessions to students
  • Create lesson plans and educational activities to support student learning
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to address student needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in delivering English and Maths GCSE interventions
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Proficiency in using educational technology
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, supporting students in their English and Maths GCSE studies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
