Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Intervention Tutor

Location:

Great Dunmow, Essex, East of England

Job Duties:

  • Provide targeted English and Maths intervention to Key Stage 3 students
  • Create and implement tailored lesson plans to address individual learning needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in delivering English and Maths intervention
  • Knowledge of Key Stage 3 curriculum

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience working with diverse student populations

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, supporting students during school hours. The tutor will work closely with school staff and parents to ensure the success of the intervention programme.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
