Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Colchester

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide outreach tutoring in English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students
  • Create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Support students in developing essential literacy and numeracy skills
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure student success

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of the KS3 curriculum in English and Maths
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Proficiency in educational technologies and resources
  • Experience in delivering outreach programmes to disadvantaged students

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in school settings or community centres or learners homes
  • Potential travel within the East of England region may be required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
