Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Brightlingsea

Job Duties:

As an English and Maths KS3 SEN Intervention Tutor, your primary responsibilities will include designing and delivering tailored intervention sessions to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in Key Stage 3. You will assess students' learning needs, develop individualised learning plans, and provide engaging and effective teaching to help improve their English and Maths skills.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant teaching qualification

- Specialism in English and Maths

- Experience working with students with SEN

- Knowledge of SEN intervention strategies

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of the KS3 curriculum

- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience and empathy in working with students with SEN

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional SEN qualification

- Experience using assistive technology in teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
