Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 LAC Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Epping

Job Type:

Temporary, part-time hours

Salary:

£20 - £30 per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 Looked After Children (LAC)
  • Create engaging lesson plans and educational materials
  • Assess students' learning needs and monitor their progress
  • Offer support and guidance to help improve students' academic performance
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and achievements

Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Prior experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths to KS3 students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Organisational skills to maintain accurate student records

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Looked After Children (LAC)

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, temporary position

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
