Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Intervention Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Wickford

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide targeted English and Maths intervention sessions for Key Stage 3 students
  • Create engaging and interactive learning activities to support students' progress
  • Assess students' learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Monitor and track students' progress and provide feedback to parents and teachers
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure alignment with curriculum goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 3 English and Maths curriculum
  • Experience in delivering targeted intervention support to students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Proven experience in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level
  • Understanding of different learning styles and ability to adapt teaching methods
  • Ability to motivate and engage students in their learning
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work within a school o learners home setting in the East of England
  • Collaborative environment with school staff and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
