Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Chelmsford

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored intervention sessions to students aiming to improve their English and Maths GCSE grades
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' strengths and weaknesses
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' understanding of key concepts
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with other educators and parents to support student learning

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic goals

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of the GCSE curriculum for English and Maths
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs
  • Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning
  • Experience in delivering intervention programmes

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work closely with students, educators, and parents
  • Provide remote or in-person tutoring sessions in learners home or community centers 
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
