Job description

Job Title: Maths and English KS3 Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Rayleigh

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored intervention support to KS3 students in Maths and English
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons to enhance students' understanding and skills
  • Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure student success

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist knowledge in Maths and English at KS3 level
  • Experience in delivering targeted intervention support

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience in teaching Maths and English at KS3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the KS3 curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Effective classroom management techniques
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing support to students during school hours. The tutor will work closely with school staff and parents to ensure students' progress and success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
