Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Brentwood

Job Type:

Job Duties:

  • Provide outreach tutoring services in English and Maths for GCSE students
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to meet individual student needs
  • Conduct regular assessments to track student progress
  • Offer feedback and guidance to students to enhance their understanding and performance
  • Communicate with parents or guardians to provide updates on student development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in English and Maths education

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in English and Maths at GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK education system
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
  • Proficiency in creating engaging and effective lesson plans
  • Experience in providing outreach or tutoring services

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, to accommodate student schedules. The work will be carried out in educational institutions, learners homes or community centres within the East of England, Essex, Brentwood area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
