Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Wickford

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality English and Maths GCSE tutoring to students in the East of England.
  • Create engaging lesson plans and learning materials tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and track their progress.
  • Support students in improving their exam skills and confidence in English and Maths.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in English and Maths at the GCSE level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

A degree in Education or a related field.

Experience:

Previous experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Additional certifications in education or related fields.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours with flexibility in scheduling.
  • Work primarily in educational institutions or community centres or learners homes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
