Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Intervention Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Loughton

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths intervention sessions to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans to address the specific needs of each student
  • Implement engaging and interactive teaching methods to support student learning and progress
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and areas for improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Demonstrated proficiency in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Organisational skills and ability to effectively manage a caseload of students

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
  • Work primarily in a learners home setting with occasional remote teaching
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
