Job description

Job Title: English and Maths GCSE SEN Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, South Woodham Ferrers

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) preparing for their GCSE exams
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' strengths and challenges
  • Deliver engaging lessons that cater to various learning styles and abilities
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Knowledge of the current GCSE curriculum for English and Maths

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEN students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours with flexibility in scheduling
  • Work primarily in a classroom setting or student's home
  • Potential travel to different locations within the East of England region

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
