Job description

Maths Teacher – Secondary School – Dukinfield – September Start

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-regarded, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Dukinfield, Tameside, to recruit a full-time Maths Teacher starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Maths specialist to join a strong department in a supportive and high-achieving school.

Location: Dukinfield, Tameside
Start Date: September
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term
Pay: Paid in line with your teaching scale (MPS/UPS)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

  • Planning and preparing lessons in accordance with the national curriculum

  • Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies for improvement

  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Participating in departmental meetings, CPD opportunities, and whole-school initiatives

Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have recent experience teaching Maths in a UK secondary school setting

  • Be confident in managing classroom behaviour and adapting lessons to meet student needs

  • Be passionate about Maths and committed to helping students reach their full potential

  • Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
