Maths Teacher – Secondary School – Chorlton-cum-Hardy – September Start

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a highly regarded and diverse Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school located in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. This forward-thinking school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to join their team from September on a full-time, long-term basis to cover a planned absence.

Location: Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester
Start Date: September
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term (potential for permanent placement)
Pay: Paid in line with your teaching scale

About the Role:

  • Teaching Maths to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering well-structured and engaging lessons.

  • Planning, preparing, and assessing lessons to inspire curiosity and problem-solving confidence in pupils.

  • Supporting pupils of varying abilities, including those preparing for GCSE exams.

  • Contributing to departmental collaboration, resource sharing, and the continuous drive for raising academic achievement.

  • Encouraging student engagement through dynamic teaching and consistent classroom management.

  • Participating in whole-school and departmental meetings, CPD sessions, and pastoral responsibilities.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Maths in secondary schools.

  • Be passionate about teaching and capable of fostering a positive learning environment.

  • Have excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Be able to motivate and challenge students to achieve their full potential.

  • Be an effective team player who is adaptable and eager to contribute to a supportive department.
