Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Saffron Walden

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Deliver outreach sessions to students in a supportive and engaging manner
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' strengths and areas for improvement
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a special educational needs setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching methods and strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
  • Organisational skills to create and maintain individualised learning plans

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in delivering outreach or home tutoring sessions

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis in an educational setting. The tutor will be required to travel to different locations within the East of England to deliver outreach sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
