Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Intervention Tutor

Location:

Job Duties:

The English and Maths GCSE Intervention Tutor will provide tailored support to students preparing for their GCSE exams. Duties include conducting one-on-one or small group sessions to improve students' understanding of key concepts, developing individualised learning plans, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to students and parents/guardians.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification in English and Maths. Enhanced DBS check.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in GCSE intervention or tutoring.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong knowledge of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum, excellent communication skills, ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs, and proficiency in using educational technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in working with students with diverse learning needs.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours. The tutor will work closely with students, parents/guardians, and school staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
