Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Intervention Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Burnham-on-Crouch

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 per hour

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths intervention sessions to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs and progress
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to support students in achieving academic goals
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
  • Collaborate with SENCO and other staff members to ensure effective support for SEN students

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths to Key Stage 3 students
  • Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective classroom management techniques

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, with flexibility in scheduling sessions
  • Work in a classroom or learners home with SEN students
  • Collaborative work with school staff and SENCO

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
