Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – EYFS

Location: Wallasey (CH44)

Working Hours:

  • Mornings, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate:

  • £12.90 to £13.50 per hour

Job Overview: Are you a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding role in a well-regarded primary school? We have an exciting opportunity for a Full-time 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant in Wallasey (CH44), working with a charming child in the EYFS setting. This temporary role, covering a staff absence, is scheduled from January until the end of the academic year. The school is noted for its dedicated SENCO and supportive Headteacher, both highly respected by staff, parents, and pupils alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student with special educational needs, focusing on their unique learning and developmental goals.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to deliver personalised learning strategies and plans.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist in creating and organising teaching materials tailored to meet the specific needs of SEN pupils.
  • Classroom Assistance: Support the teacher in maintaining an inclusive, structured, and positive classroom environment for all students.
  • Behavioural Support: Employ effective behaviour management strategies to encourage positive interactions and social development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
