Job Opportunity: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 6)
Location: L21 Liverpool
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Until July 2025
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with emotional needs and challenging behaviour.

The Role:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to create a supportive learning environment tailored to the pupil’s unique needs.
  • Provide emotional and behavioural support, helping the pupil manage challenges and build confidence.
  • Implement strategies to foster positive behaviour and engagement with learning activities.
  • Be a consistent and reliable role model, offering stability and encouragement.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with emotional or behavioural needs, ideally in a school setting.
  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
