ASC Teaching Assistant (EYFS) – Primary School in Liverpool, L13

Position Start Date: January 2025
Location: Liverpool, L13
Contract Type: Full-time, 32.5 hours
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young lives? Do you have the compassion, patience, and skills to support a child with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) as they begin their educational journey? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

Our welcoming and inclusive primary school in Liverpool, L13, is seeking a dedicated and experienced ASC Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a pupil in Recpetion. This rewarding role is perfect for someone with a commitment to supporting children with additional needs, helping them to build confidence, engage with learning, and develop essential social skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored, one-on-one support to an EYFS pupil with ASC, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Support the child in classroom activities, encouraging participation and engagement.
  • Assist with sensory and emotional regulation, implementing strategies to ensure a comfortable and effective learning experience.
  • Foster social interactions, helping the pupil build relationships and develop communication skills.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with ASC or related additional needs.
  • A calm, patient, and understanding approach, with a passion for making a difference in children’s lives.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school staff.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, SEN training) are desirable but not essential for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
