Maths teacher (Wellingborough)

Are you a passionate and engaging maths teacher seeking a new full time position? Would you like to join a successful secondary school well on their way to becoming an outstanding school?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school located near Wellingborough who is seeking a teacher of Maths to join them after Easter. The school has recently beat the national figures for students achieving a grade 5 or above in English and Maths as well as having the highest number of students achieving grade 9's in the area. Results in Maths have been particularly strong: in 2018 66% of students gained a grade 4 or above and 53% gained a grade 5 or higher. There is a clear and resounding vision among staff members as they aim to deliver an outstanding level of education to students: not only academically but developing all aspects of the child. Students and staff are equally ambitious and welcome the challenging of being the best they possibly can be. The maths department are highly experienced and committed to maintaining the schools high standards of teaching and learning. They are also dedicated to supporting staff ensuring in their personal development in order to keep improving. The successful candidate will be able to teach key stage 3 and key stage 4 maths and will be available full time. NQT's and unqualified teachers are welcome to apply. The role will be required until the end of the year.

Ideal candidates will also:

  • Have excellent subject knowledge and be passionate about teaching maths
  • Be confidently capable of managing behaviour
  • Be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons which cater to a variety of abilities
  • Monitor results to ensure that pupil progress is made and that results continue to remain high
