Geography Tutor
Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Geography Tutor to support a Year 8 student with high SEN (Special Educational Needs) for 3 hours per week at the students home. The student requires tailored, engaging lessons to help them understand and enjoy Geography in a way that suits their unique learning style.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver individualized Geography lessons aligned with the student's learning needs and school curriculum.

Use multi-sensory and interactive teaching methods to enhance understanding and engagement.

Provide patient, supportive, and structured learning experiences, adapting approaches to suit SEN requirements.

Build the student's confidence and interest in Geography.

Liaise with parents/carers and, where appropriate, school staff to track progress and adjust teaching strategies.
Requirements:
-
Experience working with SEN students, particularly those with high learning needs.

Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum.

Ability to use creative and adaptive teaching methods to meet individual learning styles.

Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.

A relevant teaching qualification or significant tutoring experience is desirable.

DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
