Job description

EYFS Supply Teacher

-          Part-time role

-          To start as soon as possible

-          Competitive rate of £100 - £160

-          Experienced in a Primary School or Early Years setting required

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a bank of EYFS Teachers to place in schools over the East Lancashire area. We are currently looking to place candidates in schools across Padiham, Burnley, Blackburn, Accrington, Nelson, Rawtenstall, and Todmorden.

As an EYFS Supply Teacher, you would:

Work from a plan to deliver a variety of lessons, including maths, reading and phonics in an engaging and well considered manner.

  • Follow the school’s behavioural policy to effectively manage pupil’s behaviour and ensure their effective engagement with learning.
  • Be responsible for establishing an optimum classroom environment as to ensure the pupils adopt a positive attitude towards learning.

Candidates must be familiar with the EYFS Curriculum, have a genuine passion for working with young children and understand the importance of early years learning. An understanding of continuous provision, outdoor provision and knowledge of phonics schemes would be beneficial. Experience of subject specialisms and/or experience of co-ordinator roles would also be advantageous.

After such a long period away from the classroom, it can only be expected that some students will find it harder than others to return to school. The successful candidate should therefore be of a nurturing nature and prepared to assist children into their return to school life as much as possible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
