History Graduate Cover Supervisor – Full-Time Role in Stockport

Teaching Personnel is seeking a History Graduate Cover Supervisor to work at an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Stockport. This full-time role starts immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year. There is the potential for the role to become permanent, based on performance. The pay ranges from £419.25 to £500 per week.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent History graduate who is interested in pursuing a career in education. As a Cover Supervisor, you will gain valuable experience by delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Classroom Supervision: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects, with a focus on humanities, particularly history.
  • Supporting Student Learning: Help students remain on task, answer questions, and manage classroom activities.
  • Behaviour Management: Uphold school behaviour policies, ensuring a calm and focused atmosphere.
  • Student Engagement: Build positive relationships with students to promote their engagement and success.
  • Providing Feedback: Report back to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour, and any issues encountered during lessons.
  • Flexible Support: Assist with other areas of school life, such as break and lunchtime supervision, and support with intervention sessions when needed.
