Cover Supervisor - Stockport (Support Staff)

Location: Stockport
Salary: £85 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

Are you an enthusiastic and reliable individual looking to make a difference in secondary education? We are seeking a committed Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in Stockport.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole-class lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and follow the pre-set work.
  • Maintain discipline in line with the school’s behavior policies.
  • Provide additional classroom support to students as needed, including 1:1 and small-group sessions.
  • Support the pastoral team in creating a positive and safe learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young people.
  • A calm and professional approach to managing classroom behavior.
  • Previous experience in a school setting, youth work, or similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
