Job description

Job Title: GCSE SEN Outreach Tutor

Location:

Wood Green, Greater London, England

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored academic support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in GCSE subjects (English, Maths and Science)
  • Develop individualised lesson plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions to enhance learning outcomes
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure holistic support for students

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Experience in conducting assessments for SEN students

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours with flexibility in scheduling
  • Work closely with students in educational settings
  • Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
