Job description

Job Title: KS3 SEMH Outreach Tutor

Location: England, Greater London, Tottenham

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver tailored educational support to Key Stage 3 students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student
  • Provide outreach tutoring sessions in a variety of settings to support student progress and attainment
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with Key Stage 3 students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or related field
  • Training in behaviour management strategies

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours, temporary position
  • Work primarily in educational settings and community locations
  • Potential travel within Greater London area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
