Job Duties
- Provide 1:1 tutoring in English and Maths for Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Create individualised lesson plans based on students' learning needs
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure student success
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with SEN students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet individual student needs
Education
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching or tutoring
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) strategies and interventions
- Ability to adapt teaching techniques to support diverse learning styles
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Education or SEN
- Experience in conducting assessments and tracking student progress
Working Conditions
- Work on a part-time basis with flexible hours
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to support student learning
- Conduct tutoring sessions in a classroom or designated learning space

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
