Early Career Teacher

A dynamic and forward-thinking secondary school and sixth form located in Braintree, Essex, is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Teachers in Training and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join their permanent staff from April 2025, or sooner if possible. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in your subject area, ensuring all students’ individual learning needs are met.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Participate in the school’s professional development and training programs.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain a high standard of classroom management to promote an effective learning environment.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting students' academic and personal development.
- Currently enrolled in a teacher training program or recently completed training (including those who are ECTs).
- Relevant subject degree or a clear pathway to completing the required qualification.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to teaching and professional growth.
- Strong commitment to the school’s ethos and values.
- Experience or interest in teaching at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and/or Key Stage 5 is desirable.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Job Details:
Role: Teachers in Training and ECTs
Phase: Secondary (11-18)
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent
Start: April 2025 (sooner is desirable)
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience with TLR
Area: Braintree, Essex

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
