Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher (ECT) to join a dynamic secondary school and sixth form in Braintree, Essex. The school is committed to fostering a stimulating and supportive learning environment, where both students and staff can thrive.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Humanities lessons to Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5. They will play a key role in inspiring students to develop a passion for Humanities subjects while supporting their academic progress and personal development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards completion as an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Specialism in History, Geography, or Religious Studies.
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum for Humanities subjects.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passionate about education with a commitment to student achievement.
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and the wider school community.

Start: April 2025 (Sooner is desirable)
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience
Area: Braintree, Essex

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
