Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join a thriving secondary school and sixth form in Braintree, Essex. The school is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering a passion for mathematics among students at both KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5.

The Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential. They will work within a supportive and collaborative department, contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
  • Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • A strong track record of delivering high-quality lessons and securing positive outcomes for students
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate learners
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities

Contract: Fulltime, Permanent
Start: April 2025 (Sooner is desirable)
Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience
Area: Braintree, Essex

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
