An outstanding secondary school and sixth form in Braintree, Essex, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Career Teacher (ECT) of English to join its permanent staff from April 2025 or sooner. The Role:
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5.

Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold (or be working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a strong academic background in English.
- Have a passion for teaching and a commitment to student progress and achievement.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Be enthusiastic about contributing to extracurricular activities and the wider school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
