Cover Teachers – Secondary Schools in Bury
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Start Date: Immediate or post-Easter 2025
Contract Type: Full-time or Flexible Supply
Pay: From £120 to £150 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)
Are you a qualified secondary teacher or an experienced cover supervisor looking for flexible work in the Bury area? We’re currently recruiting Cover Teachers to support a range of secondary schools, providing classroom cover across various subjects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in diverse and welcoming school environments while maintaining flexibility around your availability. Whether you're looking for day-to-day supply, short-term blocks, or long-term placements, we have roles to suit you.
The Role:

Deliver pre-set lessons and maintain classroom order in the absence of the class teacher.

Supervise and support students aged 11–16 across a range of subjects.

Promote a positive learning environment and ensure behaviour policies are upheld.

Build rapport with students and staff while contributing to a school’s learning culture.
Who We’re Looking For:

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
-
Confident, adaptable, and able to step into different subject areas as needed.

A genuine interest in education and making a positive impact in the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
