Job Duties:

• Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
• Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for students
• Implement pre-prepared lesson plans effectively
• Manage student behaviour and maintain discipline
• Assist students with their work and provide support as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
• Experience working with children or young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Relevant educational qualifications or training in education or related field

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of classroom management techniques
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching Assistant qualification
• First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

• Regular working hours, typically within school hours
• Work in a classroom setting within a school environment
• Potential for occasional additional responsibilities or hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
