Cover Supervisor

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Sale

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £89 - £99 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classes in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Ensure all students are engaged in learning activities
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively
  • Assist students with their work and provide support as needed
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent

Experience:

  • Prior experience working with children or young people

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education qualifications in education or related field
  • Teaching assistant or cover supervisor experience

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Potential for occasional evening or weekend work for school events

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
