Job description

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location:

North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham

Job Type:

Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£88 - £98 Per day (6.5 hour working day)

Job Duties:

  • Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and provide support to students
  • Assist with administrative tasks and maintain records as required
  • Communicate effectively with teaching staff and parents as needed

Required Qualifications:

GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics

Education:

Minimum of a high school diploma

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or young adults is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of educational principles

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant training or certifications in education or child development

Working Conditions:

This role involves working within an educational setting, following school hours and term times. It may require occasional flexibility in working hours to cover absences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
