Teaching personnel require qualified Teachers for supply roles across Brighton and Hove, Lewes, Peacehaven, Seaford and Saltdean.

Job Duties:

• Provide cover for absent teachers in schools on a short-term basis
• Follow lesson plans and deliver engaging and effective lessons to students
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
• Assess and provide feedback on student progress and performance
• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to support student development
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and student assessments
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Prior experience teaching in a primary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of the national curriculum and teaching methods
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Organisational skills to maintain accurate records and lesson plans
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Education or specialised subject area
• Experience working with students with special educational needs
• Additional certifications or training relevant to primary education

Working Conditions:

• Work in various primary schools in the South East England, East Sussex, Brighton area
• Part-Time hours, with flexibility to choose shifts based on availability
• Collaboration with school staff and teachers
• Potential exposure to student behaviour challenges
• Use of educational technology and resources

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
