Salary: MPS/UPS, Dependent on experience with SEN allowance
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime
An esteemed and award-winning Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their permanent staff team from April 2025. This school group is renowned for its nurturing environment, innovative approaches, and commitment to empowering students with diverse learning needs.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored education to students with a range of special educational needs. They will play a key role in creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment, helping each child reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet individual student needs.
- Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working within an SEN setting or with children who have special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of various SEN conditions, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
