Join Our Team as a Year 1 Learning Support Assistant in Basingstoke!
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team in Basingstoke.
About the Role: As a Year 1 LSA, you’ll play a crucial role in providing tailored support to children, helping them with their learning, development, and social skills. You’ll assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, work with small groups of children, and offer individual support where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children in their learning and development, ensuring they reach their full potential
- Assist in the delivery of lessons and activities, providing additional support where required
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Help children with reading, writing, numeracy, and other core subjects
- Assist with behaviour management and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
About You:
- A passion for working with children and helping them succeed
- Experience working with young children (desirable but not essential)
- A calm, patient, and supportive approach
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare or education (or equivalent) is preferred but not required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
