Position: SEN Support Worker
Location: Primary School, Lydiate
Start Date: ASAP or after February half-term
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent (via Teaching Personnel)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Support Worker to join a welcoming primary school in Lydiate. This role involves working closely with the school’s SEN unit, providing 1:1 support to multiple pupils with a variety of high needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team, where your efforts will help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The role will initially be offered on a temporary basis through Teaching Personnel, with the potential to transition to a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils with a range of SEN needs.
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring pupils are engaged and supported.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to implement indiviual learning plans.
  • Encourage the development of independence and confidence in pupils.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (in a school, care, or other relevant setting).
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Teaching Assistant Level 2/3, SEN training) are desirable but not essential. We offer multiple courses and qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
