About the School

We are working with a dedicated SEMH and Special Educational Needs school in the Wirral that provides a nurturing and supportive environment for its students. Their mission is to empower every child to reach their full potential through tailored support and interventions.

The Role

We are seeking experienced 1-1 Learning Support Assistants to join the school’s dynamic team. You will work closely with students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), offering personalized support to meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-1 support for students with Special Educational Needs.
  • Assist students in managing and overcoming challenging behaviors.
  • Build trusting relationships to help break down barriers to learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students in developing their confidence, social skills, and academic abilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Strong skills in managing and de-escalating challenging behaviors.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive nature.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with students.
  • A commitment to helping students achieve their best and thrive.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
