An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision school in The Wirral. This role involves providing 1:1 support to a male student who requires additional guidance and care to achieve his potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the student to provide tailored support, fostering trust and a positive working relationship.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a productive and supportive learning environment.
• Support the student's emotional and social development, addressing barriers to learning.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working in alternative provision schools or similar settings is essential.
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with patience and resilience.
• A compassionate and adaptable approach to building relationships with students who have experienced exclusion from mainstream education.
• A commitment to helping students achieve their personal and academic goals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
