Are you committed to helping young people overcome challenges and achieve their full potential? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive alternative provision team in the Wirral.
The Role
As a 1-1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a student, helping them overcome barriers to education and fostering a trusting and positive relationship. This full-time position offers the potential for a permanent role within a collaborative and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong and supportive relationship with the student, ensuring they feel safe and valued.
- Offer emotional and academic support to help the student re-engage with their learning journey.
- Collaborate closely with the wider team to maintain a consistent, individualized approach.
- Inspire and motivate the student to achieve their personal and academic goals.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess empathy, patience, and the ability to connect with young people.
- Have experience in similar roles or working with children with additional needs.
- Be passionate about creating a positive, nurturing learning environment.
- Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
