ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED SCIENCE TEACHER?

TEACHING PERSONNEL HAVE AN EXCITING ROLE AT A MAINSTREAM SECONDARY SCHOOL IN B36!

 

Science is one of the three core subjects and is a vital element of the UK national curriculum. You will be an integral part to the overall success of the science department, striving for excellence in academic outcomes and pupil development. 

 

Important Details:

Location: B36 (Castle Bromwich)

Hours: Full Time

Rate of Pay: To scale, for all fully qualified teachers in a full time position

Start Date: ASAP

 

Ideal Person Specification:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

-Ability and confidence to teach all 3 science specialisms (but can have one main specialism)

- Strong subject knowledge and well rounded knowledge of the national curriculum

- Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school

- Strong classroom management and ability to manage behaviour effectively

 

Roles and Responsibilites:

- Plan and confidently deliver a range of Science lessons covering a broad range of topics

- Ensure lesson planning is tailored to the individual needs of each class, focusing on differentiation

- Regularly assess pupil progress through marking and assessments, providing informative and timely feedback

- Collaborate well with colleagues to ensure the Science department is performing well

- Ensure pupil and staff safety are at the centre of your practice, upholding the schools policies and procedures at all times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
