QUALIFIED SCIENCE TEACHERS, WE HAVE A FULL TIME POSITION IN COVENTRY FOR YOU!

 

Teaching Personnel are seeking a qualified science teacher to work at one of our brilliant partner schools in Coventry. The mainstream secondary school based in CV2 require a passionate and reliable science teacher to work on a full time basis commencing ASAP.

 

Hours: Full Time

Location: Coventry, CV2

Pay: To scale for FQT

 

The ideal candidate will:

- hold a UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

- have recent, relevant experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school

- have a bachelors degree in a science subject specialism

- specialise in chemistry, biology or physics but have the capability of teaching all 3

- be able to commit to a full time position (flexible hours will be catered for, for the right candidate)

- be confident delivering science lessons to a range of age groups and abilities

- have strong behaviour management skills and classroom presence

- have some experience supporting children with special educational needs and understand how to adapt teaching style to suit

 

You will be responsible for:

- planning engaging science lessons that cater to individual needs within each class

- delivering informative science lessons, following the national curriculum and ensuring children maintain focused for the duration

- marking pupil work in a timely manner and tracking their progress through various forms of assessment

- providing relevant and informative, feedback in a timely and constructive manner

- collaborating with colleagues within the science department

- maintaining a positive and committed stance to safeguarding and upholding these principles at all times

- contribute to the wider school community and encourage participation in extra curricular activities surrounding the science department

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
