Job description

WE HAVE AN EXCITING FULL TIME POSITION FOR A QUALIFIED SCIENCE TEACHER!

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an OFSTED rated "Good" mainstream, secondary school in Coventry to appoint a science teacher on a full time basis. The school offers state of the art facilities, exceptional science equipment and a collaborative feel within the team.

 

Location: Coventry (CV3)

Hours: Full Time, term time only

Pay: To scale

Start date: ASAP

 

Ideal Person Specification:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Bachelors degree in a science subject

- Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics

- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 in a UK secondary school

- The ability to teach A-Level Science is a bonus

- Experience working with children with special educational needs

- Strong subject knowledge and awareness of the national curriculum for Science

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Plan a range of engaging science lessons in line with the national curriculum

- Deliver exciting lessons that appeal to the various needs within each class

- Regularly assess pupil progress and provide timely and informative feedback

- Be a confident, approachable teacher, creating an environment where all pupils feel safe and have opportunities to thrive

- Contribute to the development of the science department and collaborate with colleagues effectively

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
