Science Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science teacher to join our team at a well-established secondary school in Stoke, starting from Easter. This long-term, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to inspire and engage students in their scientific education across various year groups. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach in a supportive and innovative department, with a focus on fostering curiosity and developing critical thinking skills.
We are looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic about making science exciting and accessible to all students, regardless of their ability. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum. In addition to teaching, you will have the chance to contribute to extra-curricular activities that help promote a love for science beyond the classroom.
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Science teacher with experience in teaching both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject. However, we welcome applications from newly qualified teachers who are passionate about teaching science and making a difference in the lives of young learners. You will need to be a team player, able to collaborate effectively with other members of staff, and possess a commitment to continuous professional development. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
