Safeguarding Welfare & Attendance Manager
Pay Range: NJC Range 7: £35,235 - £38,626
Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week / 39 weeks per annum
Locations: Basingstoke
Start Date: ASAP
Teaching Personnel have an excellent opportunity to work with an exceptional school in Basingstoke. The school are looking for a dedicated Safeguarding Welfare & Attendance Manager.
Job role
- To carry out duties in accordance with the Academy’s values, mission and vision.
- To complete any reasonable requests by the Academy SWAM or Heads of Campus.
- To create a framework where the needs of staff, from a supervision perspective, can be met.
- This JD is not a comprehensive statement of procedures and tasks, but sets out the main expectations of the Academy in relation to the post holder’s professional responsibilities and duties.
- The duties of this post may vary from time to time, as required by the Line Manager or Head of the school, without changing their general character or the level of responsibility
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year DSL experience.
- Working with complex pupils / families Experience of working with children who present with additional needs and /or challenging behaviours.
- GCSE Maths & English (A-C Grade) Previous training / experience within a Safeguarding /Attendance role / Social services / Police Good understanding of attendance protocols
- DSL Training
- Very good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ongoing professional development within previous roles undertaken
- Pertinent experience to all aspects of this varied role; safeguarding, welfare, attendance, families, working closely with external agencies
- Significant experience working with children and families at risk and in challenging / complex situations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
