Job description

Are you a dedicated Mathematics educator ready to take the next step in your career? Teaching Personnel is seeking a Head of Mathematics for a secondary school in Basingstoke, starting November 2024. This full-time leadership role offers the chance to guide and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 while leading a team of talented maths teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Maths Department, fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective schemes of work for Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Monitor student progress, analyze data, and provide targeted support to ensure every student achieves their full potential.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set departmental goals and drive academic success.
  • Uphold high standards in safeguarding and classroom management.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mathematics or a related field, along with relevant teaching qualifications.

  • Commitment to student success and safeguarding; Safer in Education checks are required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
